Dr. Charles Wu is a physician turned entrepreneur. As Founder & CEO of ThinkCloud, the company behind SelfieSign, his work focuses on digital identity, electronic signatures, and trust infrastructure for regulated industries.

Before founding ThinkCloud, Dr. Wu held hospital leadership roles, including serving as President of Lian-An Hospital and Taiwan Adventist Hospital's Shuangshi Branch in central Taiwan. His experience with healthcare documentation and consent processes led to the development of .SVS, a video electronic signature format designed to combine identity evidence and signing records into a single digital file.

The .SVS format captures multiple biometric elements — face, voice, handwriting trajectory, GPS coordinates, and timestamps — within a tamper-proof structure. The technology forms the foundation for SelfieSign, a video-based electronic signature platform certified under EU eIDAS Advanced Electronic Signature standards and used across 80% of Taiwanese hospitals, with adoption expanding internationally.

Dr. Wu has also spoken on topics such as identity verification, real-world asset tokenization, and enterprise security at events such as the GFTN Summit and CyberSec. He serves as Director and Chairman of the Financial Committee at the Taiwan Information Security Association and as Director of the Digital Governance Association.
